About Me
Jazzmin Cohen is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern who grew up in Oakland, California. She completed her B.A. degree in psychology and M.A. degree in Counseling Psychology. She is currently working toward her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with the American School of Professional Psychology, Argosy University. Since completing her MA degree, Jazzmin has obtained certification as a domestic violence counselor and in mindfulness meditation school curriculum. In addition, Jazzmin has her Human Service Certification from Merritt College and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to treat those with a history of trauma. In the midst of her journey to becoming a psychologist, Jazzmin has worked within a private practice setting for the past two years, located in Albany, CA. Over the past five years, her work experience has been gained within a variety of settings consisting of elementary and high schools, county hospitals, county jail, supported living services, and behavioral health environments. Jazzmin has had the opportunity to work with adolescents, couples, families, and, adults dealing with addiction, anxiety, bi-polar disorder, complex trauma, depression, eating disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and schizophrenia. As a result, Jazzmin utilizes a client-centered and cognitive-behavioral approach within the therapeutic process to assist those she supports with reaching their destiny, by remembering their past, designing their future, and never looking back.

I have a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University
I have completed the requirements and received Certification in Human Services through Merritt College

I am trained to provide Mindful Schools K-5 Curriculum
